Astronomy Workshop – Total Lunar Eclipse

2022-11-08

This school-wide astronomy workshop was successfully held on 8 November 2022. With the learning objectives fully achieved, 24 students from F.1-F.6 actively participated in the workshop in which they had a better understanding of how total lunar eclipse works through a lecture conducted by our professional coach. At the same time, they also got hands-on experience on using binoculars and Newtonian Reflector for observing the event. The workshop ended with the most exciting part to students – introduction of the working principle of the school’s main telescope (9-inch APO Refractor) delivered by Mr. Chan Sung Chun. On top of the above, our school webcast the event through YouTube to the general public in collaboration with The Hong Kong Observatory and The Hong Kong Space Museum.
