Activity Highlights of BattleAce – Combat Robot Workshop and Competition
The BattleAce – Combat Robot Workshop and Competition, which was collaboratively organized by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Volunteer Team, Po Leung Kuk, and Ask Asia (Hong Kong) Limited, was successfully conducted at our school on 21 September 2024. Our school nominated 33 tech-literate students in teams of three to partake in the event.
The event commenced with a three-hour workshop, where each team was assigned a robot to familiarize themselves with robot design and gain practical experience in coding to maneuver the robots for various tasks. After this session, teams had the chance to showcase their skills by competing in battles, akin to esports, but with real robots. Following a series of exciting matches, two teams of ours were awarded in which one team reaped the 2nd runner-up, while another one was honored with The Best Team Award.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the co-organizers for providing our young technology enthusiasts with this enriching opportunity to delve into engineering and technology in such a fun, interactive, and hands-on manner.
