Creative Speech Competition
On 6 July 2024, LAI Wai Sum Charlotte from 2B was invited to be the Masters of Ceremony for the Final Stage of the Creative Speech Competition hosted by Hong Kong Education City.
The Creative Speech Competition, held from February to July 2024, aims to empower students to speak their creative minds confidently while making a positive impact to their audience. Despite the tournament being held for the first time, around 1400 primary and secondary school students participated to practice their skills as well-versed articulators of thoughts and effective communicators with a positive mindset.
In face of some hiccups during the prize ceremony, Charlotte demonstrated her professionalism and expertise on the stage with some fabulous emceeing. She also was not shy to express her eagerness to join the competition herself next year, believing that this opportunity to be an emcee at the finals has better prepared her for future contests.
We encourage more students to embrace the spotlight of public speaking!
