The World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions 2017

Posted on:2017/12/29

Bringing together the best of the World Scholar’s Cup, the annual Tournament of Champions, hosted by the Yale International Relations Association at Yale University, was successfully held from 10 to 14 November 2017, in the heart of the lovely autumn.

8 selected high-achieving Nganpolingians pre-qualified for the Tournament of Champions at the Hanoi Round during which they competed with more than 1,200 scholars from different parts of the world.

Nganpolingians had the chance to interact with and learn directly from Yale students and faculty. Students attended a special panel on college life and on how to leverage the World Scholar’s Cup experience as part of their personal development. They met inspiring keynote speakers, including a Yale University professor. And they came away knowing what it’s like to be a student at one of the world’s greatest universities.

They got to mingle with fellow scholars from over thirty countries in a special Thanksgiving dinner, the Scholar’s Bowl, Debate Showcase and Scholar’s Show, which were held in an incredible venue.

Besides the learning experience, Nganpolingians also brought some medals home. Our medalists are as follows.
