Global Natural History Day 2016 (Hong Kong Final)

Our Chemistry Research Team and Biology/LS Research Team successfully entered the Global Natural History Day 2016 (Hong Kong Final) held at Hong Kong Science Museum on 21st May. 18 teams from different secondary schools in Hong Kong were shortlisted to join this final and they needed to make a public presentation to all audience as well as three adjudicators.

Using the research titled “Synthesis of High Oil Affinity Ester Macro-Molecule with Renewable Resources吸油海棉寶寶”, our Chemistry Research Team won the “Overall Champion”. The team members are Leung Pok Him and Ching Yu Hin from Class 4S1. They will be one of the teams representing Hong Kong to join the Global Final to be held in Shanghai Science Museum in July. They will complete with winning teams from different countries such as United States, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Lao, Cambodia, etc.

Our Biology/LS Research Team also qualified as one of the representing teams to join the Global Final using the research titled “The relationship of pH and Growth of Beans”. The team members are Cheung Yan Chai from 3A and Kau Aaron Hok Wang from 3B.
Congratulations to all of them as well as all science teachers of NPL College on their effort and achievements made in the event.
