NPL Underwater Robot Team, HK & Asian High Schools Champion, to Enter International Final in NASA Johnson Space Centre’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab, USA

The Underwater Robot Team of PLK Ngan Po Ling College made very brilliant achievement in The IET/MATE Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge 2016 - 11th Hong Kong/Asia Regional of the MATE International ROV Competition from 16 to 17 April 2016.

Our Team gained Overall Championship among 28 Ranger Teams from different Senior High Schools in Hong Kong and Asian countries. In additional to a prize of cash amounted HK$15,000, we are one of the two teams representing Hong Kong to participate in the International Final from 23 to 25 June in the NASA Johnson Space Centre’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab, Houston, Texas, USA. Our team will also be promoted to Explorer Level at which we can opt to compete against elite teams from universities all over the world.

Congratulations to the five team members Wong Yat Chun and Yip Willis from 5S1, Chau Tsz Lam and Lau Shuk Ming from 4S1, and Feng Yi from 4S2. We wish them further success in their exploratory trip to the NASA.
