Our Chinese Medicine Research Team entered the Roche’s Young Scientist Award (RYSA) 2015 in April. More than 100 teams of participants from different secondary schools in Hong Kong joined the competition.
Using the research titled “Authentication of Common Chinese Medicine Using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer紅外線光譜儀的中藥材鑑定法”, our Chinese Medicine Research Team was chosen as one of the Top 5 teams and successfully entered the Final Round. The three team members, Jacky Law, Akashdeep Singh and Crstal Ip from Class 5S1, were awarded 1st runner up.
Congratulations to all of them on their great effort and achievements made in the event.
The same research team has been invited to join the 45th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress to be held in Busan, Korea in early-August. We hope they can bring back inspiring ideas in scientific research to all of us.
