Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge 2009 (MATE International ROV Contest Regional) 2009/07/20

Four F.6 students (6A Chim Man Chung, 6A Ho Tsz Kin, 6A Poon Ho Ting Samuel and 6A Wong Chi Chun) participated in the Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge 2009 from 12 to 13 April 2009. In the events, all teams from 26 secondary schools designed and built an underwater robot which had to complete a submarine rescue training task. After working for a month, modifying from many trials, our students made their own robot. Their underwater robot successfully achieved several tasks in the given time and our students also presented their design in English. Finally they won the 3rd runner-up in the competition. Congratulations!

Through the competition, the participants managed to solve daily-life problems by combining their creative ideas with their Physics knowledge. We look forward to take part in this competition next year!

Teachers In-charge: Mr. Chan SC and Mr. Wong Tommy .
